Winners of 2010 Youth Video Contest
On March 22, WorkSafe Saskatchewan presented its 2010 Youth Video Contest Awards.
WorkSafe Saskatchewan invited high school students from the province to submit an original 5-minute video on workplace safety. Many high school students take summer jobs or work part-time throughout the year. The contest is an initiative by WorkSafe Saskatchewan to raise awareness and knowledge among youth about workplace health and safety issues.
A WorkSafe Saskatchewan committee adjudicated nominations based on the students’ creativity and originality in story development, production value, video effects, and the video’s overall workplace health and safety message.
The awards were presented by Tim Kalynchuk, WCB Youth Coordinator, and Vicki Pappas, Education Consultant, Advanced Education, Employment and Labour. The 2010 Youth Video Contest Award winners were:
