Mission: Zero ad campaign receives 2010 Gold Quill award

Mission: Zero’s hard-hitting commercials have earned an international award for WorkSafe Saskatchewan and Brown Communications Group.

The Mission: Zero television commercials received the Gold Quill Award of Merit at the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) World Conference in Toronto on June 7. The Gold Quills represent the ultimate recognition by communication peers.

The Mission: Zero campaign encourages employers and workers across Saskatchewan to improve workplace safety. The long-term objective of the project is to achieve Mission: Zero by eliminating workplace injury and illness.

WorkSafe Saskatchewan and the Mission: Zero campaign are making a difference. In 2009, Saskatchewan’s time-loss injury rate fell to its lowest level in 20 years and the number of workplace injuries decreased for the first time in five years.
