Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q I searched for a subject and couldn't find any results on it. Why isn't it there?

A This website covers 60 different health and safety subjects but there are many more workplace hazards and safety issues than this. You can get help on other subjects by contacting Saskatchewan Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour or CCOHS.

Q What does the symbol mean?

A This indicates that the document is in a .pdf format and will be accessed through Adobe Acrobat, a free document viewer available from the Internet. For optimal viewing of these files you can resize the document window. These documents print very well.

Q Sometimes when I click on a hotlink I end up at other websites, why is this?

A This website collection uses many web-based documents and references taken directly from other web sites. It also has many "live links" to external websites.

Linking to other websites is necessary to retrieve certain documents in the collection. From some of these documents it is possible to explore the other web sites. Just click on the WorkSafe banner to return to the WorkSafe Saskatchewan home.

Q Why is federal legislation included?

A Many workplaces such as banks, transportation companies and TV/radio stations are covered by the Canada Labour Code. As well, federal legislation such as the Hazardous Products Act affects all Canadian workplaces.
